• Broken, inflamed, or infected skin
• Bleeding disorders or use of blood thinners
• Severe varicose veins or recent surgery in the area
• Pregnancy (avoid abdominal/lower back cupping unless cleared)
• Fever, illness, or extreme fatigue
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure or certain heart conditions
• Stay well-hydrated before your session
• Eat a light meal 1–2 hours prior (not on an empty stomach)
• Avoid caffeine and alcohol on the day of treatment
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing
• Inform your therapist of any health conditions or recent treatments
• Rest and avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours
• Stay hydrated to support detoxification
• Keep cupped areas warm and covered
• Avoid hot showers, saunas, or cold exposure for 24 hours
• Mild soreness or circular marks are normal and will fade in a few days
• Do not scratch or rub the cupped areas
