• Bleeding disorders or blood-thinning medication (unless cleared by a doctor)
• Active skin infection or inflammation at the treatment site
• Suspicious or changing moles (should be evaluated by a physician)
• Poor wound healing (e.g. uncontrolled diabetes)
• Avoid applying creams, makeup, or lotions on the area before your appointment
• Do not pick or irritate the skin tag prior to removal
• Inform your provider of any medications, allergies, or medical conditions
• Avoid tanning or sun exposure on the area
• Keep the area clean and dry for 24–48 hours
• Apply healing ointment if recommended (e.g. antibiotic or petroleum-based)
• Avoid touching, scratching, or picking the area
• No swimming, hot tubs, or saunas for 2–3 days
• Avoid direct sun exposure; apply SPF once healed
• Allow scabbing to fall off naturally—do not force it
